Fueled by the success of our summer kick-off picnic, the parish family of St. Nicholas, Barberton, gathered together with friends, family and parishoners from St. Michaels, Akron, for an end-of-summer pig roast. We were treated to a delicious pork dinner served with all the fixings: buttered corn on the cob, baked potato, and many other delicious dishes.
It was most enjoyable to watch the children, and even the high schoolers, take a swing at the "Pignata" hanging from the pavilion rafters.
Certainly, the rainy skies did not dampen anyone's spirits, as was evident by the crowd of over 120, who visited together, enjoying a relaxing evening of fun and fellowship.
